WTB Vigilante SG2 Light Casing TriTec delivers race-bred aggression with bead-to-bead puncture protection for trail and enduro riders who demand unwavering grip in the gnarliest conditions.

The WTB Vigilante has been WTB's most popular mountain tire for good reason. Born from the demands of European enduro racing, it packs tall, square-lugged knobs and an open tread design that bites into loose, rocky, and wet terrain with confidence-inspiring grip. Reviewers consistently praise its predictable cornering traction and braking performance across a wide range of conditions, from dusty hero dirt to chunky rock gardens.

The SG2 Light Casing version gives you the sweet spot between protection and weight. The bead-to-bead SG2 nylon layer delivers 80% more sidewall protection than a standard single-ply tire, all without the bulk of a dual-ply Tough casing. The single-ply 60 TPI construction keeps things lively and supple underfoot, while TCS tubeless-ready compatibility lets you run lower pressures for an even bigger contact patch.

TriTec compound technology ties it all together by using three different rubber durometers throughout the tread. A harder base and center knob compound handles rolling efficiency and durability, while the softest rubber sits right where you need it most, on the outer knobs, to maximize cornering grip when you're really leaning it over. This tire is primarily built for front-wheel duty, though it pulls double shifts as a rear on loose, steep descents.

Why You'll Like It

That locked-in feeling when you tip into a loose, off-camber corner and the tire just hooks up instead of washing out, that's the Vigilante doing its thing. If you're an aggressive trail or enduro rider who spends time on unpredictable terrain and wants a tire that grips at lean angles without fearing a sidewall slash, this one is built for you. Pair it up front with a faster-rolling rear and you've got a combo that can handle whatever the trail throws your way.

Key Features

  • Tall, square-lugged open tread pattern bites into loose, rocky, and wet terrain with self-cleaning spacing between knobs
  • Bead-to-bead SG2 nylon puncture protection delivers 80% more sidewall defense than standard single-ply tires without the weight penalty of a dual-ply casing
  • TriTec three-compound rubber technology uses a harder base for durability and rolling efficiency, with progressively softer outer knobs for maximum cornering grip
  • TCS tubeless-ready single-ply 60 TPI Light Casing keeps weight down and allows lower tire pressures for a larger contact patch and improved traction
  • Proven enduro race pedigree, WTB's most popular mountain tire, trusted by their full team of enduro athletes across all conditions
