Tubeless setups are only as good as their weakest link, and for a lot of riders running tire inserts, that weak link has been the valve. WTB's TCS Max-Flow AL Valves fix that with a castellated base that channels air in multiple directions, so even when a foam insert is pressed hard against the valve, airflow stays wide open. The result is faster, easier tire seating and none of the frustrating dead-end pumping sessions.
The bore diameter gets a serious upgrade here too, supporting an 84% increase in air capacity over standard valves and dramatically cutting the chances of sealant clogging the passage. The lightweight aluminum construction keeps rotational weight down, and the anodized finish holds up against the ammonia found in most sealants. A universal rubber grommet makes these compatible with all rim widths and offsets, so they play nice with whatever wheels are in the stable.
Small details matter, and WTB nailed them. The squared, knurled nut tightens down by hand without tools, the integrated o-ring protects rim beds from scratches, and the aluminum cap doubles as a valve core remover so there's no hunting around for pliers in the middle of a setup. Universal Presta valve core means replacements are easy to find anywhere.
