Description
xThe Tallac BOA delivers race-ready fit, all-day comfort, and trail-to-enduro grip in a flat pedal shoe built to handle whatever the mountain throws at you.
The Ride Concepts Tallac BOA is a flat pedal shoe that means business from the first pedal stroke to the last hike-a-bike slog. The updated PerformFit Wrap from the BOA Fit System wraps the foot in a micro-adjustable, precision fit using low-friction TX4 textile laces, dialing in power transfer and efficiency on the fly. The lightweight, stitch-free Cordura upper is fully welded for durability, backed by TPU mud guards and toe and heel protection, so it shrugs off the kind of abuse that trashes lesser shoes in a single season.
Underfoot, Ride Concepts stacked a vibration-dampening EVA midsole with a D3O High Impact Zone insole to suck up square-edge hits and keep fatigue at bay on long days. The RC PowerDrive nylon shank keeps lateral stiffness where you need it for confident pedaling, while the MAX GRIP rubber outsole locks onto flat pedals with serious authority. When the trail turns into a hike, the reverse hex traction pattern on the toe and heel transitions seamlessly to solid walking grip on slippery terrain.
Reviewers consistently praise the Tallac BOA for hitting a sweet spot of pedal feel, comfort, and durability that is hard to find in one package. The fully gusseted tongue keeps mud and debris out, an antibacterial liner keeps things fresh ride after ride, and the hook-and-loop strap lets you fine-tune fit over the forefoot. Trail riders, enduro shredders, and anyone who needs a shoe that works as hard off the bike as it does on it will find the Tallac BOA punches well above its weight.
Why You'll Like It
For the trail ripper and all-mountain adventurer, you'll feel the difference the moment you click that BOA dial and drop into your first rowdy descent, with your foot locked in and the MAX GRIP outsole glued to your pedals. Your feet will still feel fresh at the end of a big day out, thanks to the D3O insole and EVA midsole soaking up everything the trail can dish out. And when the ride turns into a march, the reverse hex traction on the outsole keeps you confident on muddy, slippery ground instead of scrambling for footing.
