Genuine Race Face replacement preload collar and locking screw for Cinch 30mm cranksets from 2023 onwards, sold as a set.

The preload collar sits on the non-drive side of a Race Face Cinch crankset and is used to set the correct tension on the bottom bracket bearings. Once dialled in by hand, a small locking screw secures the collar in place. Without a functioning collar, bearing preload cannot be set correctly, which leads to play in the crankset, accelerated bearing wear, and creaking. This is the updated version introduced with 2023 Cinch cranks, which uses a larger locking screw than the pre-2023 design.

The collar and screw typically need replacing when the screw head rounds out and can no longer be driven, when the collar body cracks from over-tightening, or when the collar works loose repeatedly under normal riding conditions. Returns

Our returns policy lasts 30 days. If more than 30 days have passed since your purchase, we're unable to offer a refund or exchange. Apparel and shoes are not eligible for return once they have been shipped out.

We accept returns if the item is eligible for a warranty claim or if the wrong item was shipped to you. To be eligible, your item must be unused, in the same condition you received it, and in its original packaging. A receipt or proof of purchase is required.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer. Once your return is received and inspected, we'll email you to confirm.

Sale items

Only regular-priced items can be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

You are responsible for the cost of return shipping, and shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from it. For valuable items, we recommend a trackable shipping service or shipping insurance, as we can't be responsible for returns we don't receive.

Refunds

Once your return is received, inspected and approved, your refund will be processed to your credit card or original method of payment. A refund will also be issued if an item turns out to be out of stock after your order is placed. How long it takes to appear depends on your bank or card provider.
