The Dissector was born out of World Cup DH star Troy Brosnan's quest for a "unicorn tire," a design that carries speed like a racer but locks in during corners like a weapon. The 27.5x2.60WT hits that mark with heavily ramped center knobs that minimize rolling drag while retaining sharp trailing edges for serious braking bite. Small sipes flex the knobs under load to increase surface contact, and channeled spacing between lugs sheds mud and debris before it can slow you down.
The 3C MaxxTerra compound is the sweet spot of the Maxxis lineup, sitting between the pure-speed MaxxSpeed and the ultra-sticky MaxxGrip. You get excellent traction in all trail conditions without sacrificing the tread life or rolling efficiency you need for long days in the saddle. Paired with the EXO+ casing, this tire is ready for all-around trail punishment, with a reinforced sidewall layer and a butyl bead insert that shrugs off pinch flats and rim strikes on chunky terrain.
The Wide Trail (WT) profile is optimized for 35mm inner width rims, giving you a rounder, more supported tire shape that improves cornering stability and overall feel. Tubeless Ready (TR) setup means you can run lower pressures for better traction and compliance, and the foldable bead keeps the whole package light and travel-friendly. This tire works great on the rear but is equally at home up front on drier, faster trail days.
A 2.60" Wide Trail profile on 35mm rims gives you a fuller, more planted footprint that transforms how your bike hooks up in corners and absorbs chop on rough trail. If you are a trail rider who hates choosing between a fast tire and a grippy one, the 3C MaxxTerra compound and ramped center knobs mean you genuinely do not have to pick. The EXO+ casing adds pinch flat protection and sidewall toughness without killing the ride quality, so you can run tubeless at lower pressures and let the tire do its thing.
