xThe AXIDE EC297 Complete E-Bike pairs AXIDE's proprietary TerraTrac suspension with Shimano's EP8 motor so you climb trails you used to hike-a-bike and descend them with wheels that stay planted through every chatter.
The AXIDE EC297 is built around one idea: let the rider focus entirely on the trail instead of managing their energy budget. The Shimano EP8 motor sits at the heart of the bike, delivering up to 85 Nm of torque through three assist modes, Eco for grinding out the distance, Trail for balancing punch with battery life, and Boost for when the pitch goes stupid-steep and you just need to get over the top. The power delivery is pedal-proportional, meaning it responds to how hard you're actually pushing, so it never makes the bike feel like a moped or kill your flow on tech sections.
What really sets the EC297 apart is TerraTrac, AXIDE's own Horst-link suspension system, paired with a Fox 36 Float Factory fork up front and a Fox Float X Factory shock out back. That combination keeps both wheels in contact with the ground through chunky, janky terrain, which is exactly where the EP8's motor torque could otherwise break traction and bite you. The mullet wheel setup, a bigger front wheel for rollover and a slightly smaller rear for agility, makes the bike feel nimble through corners while still charging through rough stuff.
Shimano Deore XT brakes front and rear mean you've got reliable, fade-resistant stopping power to match the motor's go.
